Traces of suspended matter and quantity of hard salts present in operational steam boilers, causes sludge in the Boiler water.

Suspended matter concentrations if not treated create sludges and gradually they form ' bakes' onto the boiler heat transfer surfaces. This can create crystalline scale that may eventually increase maintenance costs and can also degrade the efficiency of the boiler.

WaterEx's Boiler Water Sludge conditioners are equipped with high performance and combat the accumulated sludge. It helps to reduce the maintenance cost and maintains the boilers efficiency.

Description and Use

WEC-520 is a specifically designed dispersant for the prevention of scaling in boilers and in boiler feed lines. It helps calcium and magnesium hard salts to form a light, mobile floc, simply detached by blow down. WEC-520 is normally used with an oxygen scavenger and a phosphate.

Dosage

WEC-520 is usually maintained at concentrations between 100 and 500 mg/l, level for scale prevention depends operating conditions such as the boiler water. The optimal action level for any plant will be specified by WaterEx.

Generally the viscosity of WEC-520 provides conventional dosing pumps without dilution, but it may be diluted if required.

WEC-520 is not corrosive to steel mixing tanks or dosage pumps, in concentrated or dilute form.

Potential Hazards

  • ~ This product is not considered to be harmful but as with all industrial chemicals care should be taken in its use.
  • ~ Wear suitable gloves and eye / face protection (S37 / 39).

Spill Procedures

Flush to drain with plenty of water.

Handling and Storage

  • ~ Avoid contact with skin and eyes.
  • ~ Avoid extremes of temperature.
  • ~ Substitute caps steadily subsequent to use.
  • ~ In case of get in touch with skin wash well with soap and water.
  • ~ In case of contact with eyes wash immediately with plenty of water for at slightest 10 minutes.
  • ~ If any pain persists, ask for remedial.
  • ~ In case of intake rinse out lips, jaws carefully and drink plenty of water.
  • ~ DO NOT induce vomiting. If any uneasiness persists, ask for health check.
  • ~ Optional utmost storage space limit is 2 years.
